Promoting clinical trial results: ETAC International trial results presented at ICACI in 2000
In September 2000, Palin Communications was commissioned to promote the results of an international clinical trial looking at the prospect of reducing childhood asthma rates by using daily doses of an antihistamine.
The study was presented at the International Congress of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (ICACI) in
Sydney and the results showed important, positive, clinical outcomes.
Palin Communications developed a positioning for the story in collaboration with the international research team, produced a video news release and convened a media conference at the Congress venue.
The media relations program led to national metropolitan and regional coverage on Nine News, Nightline and Sky News as well as print coverage in The Australian, Sydney Morning Herald, Courier Mail, Herald Sun and a range of trade media.
