Palin Account Directors bring home creative inspiration from Cairns Crocodiles

Two of Palin’s Account Directors recently travelled to Far North Queensland for Cairns Crocodiles, joining some of the communications and marketing industry’s brightest minds for one of the region’s leading creative events.

While they were there to compete in Cairns Hatchlings, and proudly took home the prize in the PR category, they left with much more than a trophy. From healthcare to lifestyle, technology and beyond, the multi-day conference was a powerful reminder that creativity doesn’t sit neatly within category lines.

In a refreshing shift from another round of AI predictions, the strongest theme was distinctly human i.e reconnecting with what makes ideas memorable, engaging and sometimes a little weird. In an age of attention deficit, the campaigns that successfully cut through are often the ones that have a little weirdness to them.

Sharing the room with names like Nedd Brockmann and Taika Waititi was a privilege, but equally powerful was the determinism that permeated the space. Across the different experience levels and profiles, the crowd was united by a shared passion for pushing the industry forward with much needed creativity.

At Palin Communications, we recognise the importance of investing in professional development and creating space for connection, creativity and inspiration across the industry. Our team looks forward to applying fresh thinking and ‘weirdness’ into our work to continue delivering distinctive and impactful thinking for our clients.
